“The Scepter Given To Judah” – Genesis 35:22-26; 38:24-26, 49:10-12
22.  And it happened, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine; and Israel heard about it.  Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:
23.  The sons of Leah were Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun;
24.  The sons of Rachel were Joseph and Benjamin;
25.  The sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s maidservant, were Dan and Naphtali;
26.  And the sons of Zilpah, Leah’s maidservant, were Gad and Asher.  These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Padan Aram.
24.  And it came to pass, about three months after, that Judah was told, saying, “Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry.”  So Judah said, “Bring her out and let her be burned!”
25.  When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “By the man to whom these belong, I am with child.”  And she said, “Please determine whose these are—the signet and cord, and staff.”
26.  So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I, because I did not give her to Shelah my son.”  And he never knew her again.
10.  The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people.
11.  Binding his donkey to the vine, and his donkey’s colt to the choice vine, he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes.
12.  His eyes are darker than wine, and his teeth whiter than milk.

“Jacob Called Israel” – Genesis 32:22-32
22.  And he arose that night and took his two wives, his two female servants, and his eleven sons, and crossed over the ford of Jabbok.
23.  He took them, sent them over the brook, and sent over what he had.
24.  Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.
25.  Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him.
26.  And He said, Let Me go, for the day breaks.  But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”
27.  So He said to him, What is your name?  He said, Jacob.
28.  And He said, Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.
29.  Then Jacob asked, saying, Tell me Your name, I pray.  And He said, Why is it that you ask about My name?  And He blessed him there.
30.  So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel:  For I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.
31.  Just as he crossed over Penuel the sun rose on him, and he limped on his hip.
32.  Therefore to this day the children of Israel do not eat the muscle that shrank, which is on the hip socket, because He touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank.

” God Choose The Younger Twin – Genesis 25:19-34
19.  This is the genealogy of Isaac, Abraham’s son.  Abraham begot Isaac.
20.  Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian.
21.  Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
22.  But the children struggled together within her; and she said, If all is well, why am I like this?  So she went to inquire of the Lord.
23.  And the Lord said to her:  Two nations are in your womb, two peoples shall be separated from your body; one people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger.
24.  So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb.
25.  And the first came out red.  He was like a hairy garment all over; so they called his name Esau.
26.  Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so his name was called Jacob.  Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.
27.  So the boys grew.  And Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field; but Jacob was a mild man, dwelling in tents.
28.  And Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
29.  Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary.
30.  And Esau said to Jacob, Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.  Therefore his name was called Edom.
31But Jacob said, sell me your birthright as of this day.
32And Esau said, Look, I am about to die; so what is this birthright to me?
33Then Jacob said, Swear to me as of this day.  So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
34.  And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way.  Thus Esau despised his birthright.

” The Call Of Abram” – Genesis 12:1-5, 7; 15:1-7
1.  Now the Lord had said to Abram:  Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.
2.  I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.
3.  I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4.  So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him.  And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.
5.  Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan.  So they came to the land of Canaan.
7.  Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, to your descendants I will give this land.  And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
1.  After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.
2.  But Abram said, Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?
3.  Then Abram said, look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!
4.  And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, this one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.
5.  Then He brought him outside and said, look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.  And He said to him, so shall your descendants be.
6.  And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.
7.  Then He said to him, I am the Lord, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.

“Come And Enjoy” – Revelation 22:10-21
10.  And he said to me, Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.
11.  He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.”
12.  And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
13.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
14.  Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
15.  But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
16.  I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.  I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.
17.  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come!  And let him who hears say, Come!  And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
18.  For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
19.  And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20.  He who testifies to these things says, Surely, I am coming quickly.  Amen.  Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
21.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen.

“The River Of Life” – Revelation 22:1-7
1. And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
4. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
5. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
6. Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.
7. “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

“A New City” – Revelation 21:10-21
10.  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11.  Having the glory of God.  Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
12.  Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13.  Three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
14.  Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15.  And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
16.  The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth.  And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs.  Its length, breadth, and height are equal.
17.  Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
18.  The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
19.  The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20.  The fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21.  The twelve gates were twelve pearls:  each individual gate was of one pearl.  And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

“A New Home” – Revelation 21:1-9
1.  Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.  Also there was no more sea.
2.  Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3.  And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.  God Himself will be with them and be their God.
4.  And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
5.  Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”  And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
6.  And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
7.  He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8.  But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
9.  Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.

“The Word Gives Peace” – John 14:15-29
15.  If you love Me, keep My commandments.
16.  And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.
17.  The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
18.  I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
19.  A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me.  Because I live, you will live also.
20.  At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
21.  He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
22.  Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?
23.  Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
24.  He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
25.  These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.
26.  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
27.  Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28.  You have heard Me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you. If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, I am going to the Father, for My Father is greater than I.
29.  And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.

“The Word Resurrects The Dead” – John 11:17-27, 38-44
17.  So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days.
18.  Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.
19.  And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20.  Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house.
21.  Now Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.
22.  But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.
23.  Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again.
24.  Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25.  Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
26.  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?
27.  She said to Him, Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.
38.  Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39.  Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.
40.  Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?
41.  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
42.  And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.
43.  Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth!
44.  And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.

“The Word Saves” – John 12:44-50
44.  Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me.
45.  And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.
46.  I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
47.  And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
48.  He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
49.  For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
50.  And I know that His command is everlasting life.  Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

“The Word Heals” – John 4:46-54
46.  So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine.  And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47.  When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
48.  Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
49.  The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
50.  Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.”  So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.
51.  And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
52.  Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better.  And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”
53.  So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.”  And he himself believed, and his whole household.
54.  This again is the second sign Jesus did when He had come out of Judea into Galilee.

“The Creating Word Becomes Flesh” – John 1:1-14
1.  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2.  He was in the beginning with God.
3.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4.  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5.  And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
6.  There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7.  This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
8.  He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9.  That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
10.  He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11.  He came to His own, and His [d]own did not receive Him.
12.  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:
13. Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14.  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
